Carbon Canister

Hey guys,

Can I disconnect the plug to this and just leave the rest safely? Or do I need to disconnect everything properly?

Sorry to bump this, but it's dropped to page 3 without an answer.

When I say disconnect the plug I mean from around the OS headlight area...but without doing anything else to it.

Any help appreciated, I know it's a PITA subject so thanks.

Yes you can unplug the canister, but it will bring up a fault code on your ECU..

what does the Cannister do Gray? as it looks like some sort of fuel line coming off it :S

Its vacuum hoses coming off it mate

IIRC it filters fuel vapour and fumes through the charcoal canister, which then goes through the inlet manifold.. and is burnt off through combustion

I think the car would rev its balls off... similar to an air leak, but when running ITB's does it no make that system redundant ?
