Say I bought a pay as you go phone off the carphone warehouse website, and it was a diff network to my current sim (which I will be using)...will it still work? or will the phone already be locked to the other network?
Or does it become locked once you register the sim card?

Unless its a branded handset.

I've bought 2 payg handsets from CPW in the last year and both were unlocked.

depends what networks its on and if its payg or sim free.

CPW seem to sell payg phones as a sim free handset and a sim card chucked in the box, opposed to phones4u etc that sell you a payg phone in a box from the network.
