Carry on thread from my previous one

Car  Non Sport Megane
Right so i posted a thread about having a black mark on my o/s front alloy, that my valeter couldnt get off, so i tried some neat smart wheels (wheel acid) then washed it off and sponged my wheels, that didnt budge it, then someone said try some tardis, luckily we have loads of this at work, because we have to clean cars, before we can apply vehicle livery/vehicle wraps! and that didnt budge it either, now that i know that itsthere, its REALLY annoying me, and i wish my valeter hadnt told me, it doesnt look like a lump of laquer has come off my alloy, it looks and feels like theres something on top of it, The only other thing that i can think of doing is getting some UBER fine sand paper, and seeing if that gets it off, but i reckon this could potentially ruin my alloy and i dont want to do that... IF anyone has any other ideas that i can try it would be greatly appreciated!

Regards michael

ahaha! il take one 2moro (if i remember) and put it up, is it the same as saxp for uploading photos? photobucket etc?

Weren't you going to take one last time? I'm thinking it would help.

Could be a poor wheel refurb. We'll see.

an update to your old thread would have been good with a photo!

there is also IronX to try, but post a picture 1st please

one wheel mark

You got a smaller picture mate? That one is massive...

Can you feel it with your nail? I feelit might be under the basecoat. If not some thinners will take it off.

Nooo i dont, took it onn my phone? yeah, it feels like theres something sat on top of my alloy, iv tried Tardis, that hasnt shifted it, iv tried white spirit, and that hasnt shifted it either, someone said to me today, to use 'sellulouse paint thinners'? will this potentially ruin my alloy? ):

You just have to be careful. Have your wheels been painted recently?

Not that im aware of fella, the dude i bought the car off of, said that it hadnt been used for a while and that it had just been sat on his drive since november, if they had been recently done, whoever last drove it is a shite driver, coz the alloys have beeen kerbed!

Try it, but be careful. Little bit on the rag and rub away. Don't leave it sitting on the wheel.

Try a light abrasive polish and see if it lifts any of the colour of the staining. Have you tried Clay?

thanks RussZS il give that a go, found out the other day that, someone i work with use to also be a valeter, and that how you apply the cleaning material can sometimes help, ima try and get him to give it a go with tardis, and maybe preptone, if none of that works im going to try sellulouse paint thinners, and if that still doesnt shift it, il try swearing at it! becuase that always helps matters! and il try everyone elses suggestions!
