Carzone Spoiler Trouble

hm...now everyone knows how big the carzone spoiler is, but i got a question, when u open the boot fully it actually catches the back of the car and leaves a poxy mark, anyone else had this?? ive looked and its been fitted in the exact right place, they think i shud get a bit of foam and put i there so it rests on that not metal, but is there anyway u can stop the boot opening all the way, like just shorten how high u can open it, were talkin like a cm if that, theres pics of it at

You could probably try and source shorter boot struts as these are what limit the tailgate movement, although the Clio ones are already pretty short. Or move the lower mounting points of the existing damper a bit lower and seal up the old holes (assuming you can get access from behind to fix a nut?
