CAT and KTEC bore size.

  Clio 182
I have a original 182 cat but someone has welded a adapter on to make it fit another exhaust system.

Can anyone tell me what size the original pipe is coming out of the CAT? And what size it would need to be to fit a KTEC ultra centre section?

Thanks.

The ktec ultra is a 2.5" system with a removeble sleeve for a 2.5" straight pipe from the cat to sleeve into.

The standard cat pipe is quite small at around 2" and looks quite restrictive so a lot of people weld on a larger bore pipe.

You could weld on a 2.5" pipe from the main cat body to sleeve straight into the KTR ultra, this would be a better join than standard that won't blow!

Like this but sleeved: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...ch-cat-mod-(almost-a-guide)&highlight=Cat+mod

Hope that helps

From memory I cannot recall a removable sleeve on the Ktec. I thought the decat on mine goes inside the centre section then sealed with a D clamp.

Mod looks good though.

Yea the decat slides into the centre section if you get the matching decat, you could do the same with the cat?

Yep that looks and sounds right. So I could simply go 2.5 straight out of the cat and into the centre section or maybe 2" to 2.5".

Thanks for your help.

Yea pretty straight forward, I'd just go 2.5" all the way from the cat, just a straight bit of pipe, no flanges or anything needed. Would be a good setup as it won't blow and your removing the restrictive end from the cat :approve:
