Cat C car.. No Key!!

Ok this strictly aint clio related but hope some one could help me!

I have a VW polo MK5 i bought as a write off.... now i got it very cheap but it has no key!!!

now how would i go about getting one?.... looked into it and it looks tricky as to get a key you need a V5 and to get a V5 u need a VIC test.... but to pass the VIC test the vehicle needs to move under its own power!!! hmm i spoken to vw and they were usless said basicly it is possible to get a key BUT it needs codein to the car BUT they wont do this without the V5..... any one got any ideas how i can get round this.... as am sure this must of happened before..!!

have you not got proof of purchase from the salvage yard you got it from which would do?

otherwise i would go to an independant VW specialist and see if they could sort you out

Sounds a tricky one mate. However what middo said will work.

I remember i needed a ford key coding and a specialist did it and didnt even ask for V5 or anything else. Just the money

well i got off ebay u see! i got a printed ebay recipt..... but as its a cat C i guess it is hard to prove its yours as there is no v5 so leave me stuck!

did you buy it off a registered salvage yard? if not buy a lockset and virgin ECU to get it going
