cat to decat

hello i have a mrk 2 ph1 172 and the cat seems to be like to cylinders put together i can see but are these connected to one pipe going to the manifold because ordered a decat from K-tec and hope it fits

the ph1 172 cat is the best of the lot, decats make barely any difference!

I know the PH2 172 cat is stupidly restrictive but thought the 182 was the best for flow rates?

it will fit i had a decat for the same model as u and it worked great could tell with the performance made my exhaust sound louder aswell u will be impressed

keep your old one for mot its really hard to get a mot without a cat fitted i couldnt find anyone

yeah i know could prob get it done somewhere but needs to be right for mot, also is it pretty simple to fit

as said , the decat will make it louder .

the ph1 and 182 cats are much better than the ph2 as they are less restrictive , it will defo add a few more horses though .
