catalyser?

if i lay under my car and rev the engine when i let go off the throttle there is a rattle coming from underneath, do you think the catalyser could have broken up, the car drives as it should but will it cause any damage to the engine, i can afford to replace cat yet, just had belts done, tax and then when i got home iv got a screw in the sidewall of my eagle f1 lol​

yeah possibly, didnt think of the obvious lol but with my luck i think it will be the cat, ill take it to an exhaust place at the wkend unless theres a way i can check it myself

2 things you can do to check the cat.

Take it off and give it a good shake or if you prefer to leave it on, use a screwdriver and listen through the shaft to pin point if its the cat.

You should be able to inspect inside the cat too being a 182.
