Does anyone know anything about CCTV as I'm looking to buy a security camera but I don't know what I need to buy to record?

Hi I'm from the West Midlands, not really got a budget just I've seen a camera for £50 and wanted to know what I'd needed to record with it.

yes i knwo lots been doing lots of research recently

if you want real good quality then dont go for dvr go for HD IP camera

just purchased one of these, 1.3mp sensor and records in actual HD

comes with the necessary PC software

if this all goes well i plan to get a 5mp IP camera

if you want HD IP camera to record then you need a PC switched on all the time to record to... which is essentially a DVR..

well yeah but not an actual dvr.

what i was getting at is normal cctv cameras which record in lines are not good enough quality

heres my current 600 line cctv camera, the quality is good but not good enough
