cd changer

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
hi, ive currently got my cd changer mounted in the boot but ideally would like to put it somewere which takes up no usefull space eg under passenger seat, anyone know how i mount it under the seat? is it a case of removing the seat and jobs a goodn...or is it possible without removing the seat?

Easily possible with the seat in place as long as its not a 10 or 12 disc changer as height would be an issue.

I've got my alpine changer mounted under the passenger seat, went and got the standard mounting bracket from renault for about £8 and modified that to allow the alpine to be bolted to it.
If your cheap you could just velco it but using the bracket makes it look way more pro.

ive got a pioneer 6disk changer is it likely to fit int he renault bracket do you know? wasnt sure if all brands had a universal fit. i might just go and get a bracket for what it costs and try it.

do you have any pics at all as ive not seen exactly how the renault changer is normally mounted.

cheers,russ

No I haven't got any pics but basically under the seat where the document tray is where the changer will be.
As far as I know theres no universal fit, theres no way my alpine changer would've fitted without modding the bracket. Just had to saw some bit off and drill two new holes took all of 10 mins.

Can get pics tomorrow if you want.

i've got a 10 disk under the driver's seat. It's not mounted on anything, just under the seat and seems to be fine :)
