cd player in ff 182

have been having problems with it for the past few weeks,

when wanting to play a cd (not cdrw) it will say error, then after a few attempts it would play it,

today have tried to play a cd, its completely given up, its f**ked

has anyone else had this problem? would this be covered by warranty?

Would think it'll be covered by warranty Jay, but how old's the car? Isn't it a 54 plate?

05 pal, got a month left on my warranty I think,

ill give renault a bell in the morning, just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem

Yep, give them a bell. The worst they can say is no. Nice excuse to buy a good aftermarket one!

1) Have you tried running a lens cleaner dics thru it? Mine had dust on the lens at one stage, the cleaner sorted it out.

2) Try un-plugging the cd changer cable out the back, wait 10, re-connect. This will reset the unit and may solve it.

3) Warrenty will cover it, IF the car is still under Renault warrenty and it was a fitted option to the car.

my cd player doesnt like homemade cds. It will play them 3 times and then come up with the error message.

dont think the standard hu are cdrw compatable playing them will eventually damage the laser and break the hu,
