CD Text on the display - got it working?

mk2 clio:

the head unit display shows Radio 1 etc for the radio and Track 1 for CD

has anybody got the track name/artist displayed once they have made their own cds?

ID3 tags or something?! cant ever get mine to show, not even on my old kenwood or sony cd player...which support CD text

are you running the standard HU?

the clio display will not show CD text, ive upgraded to an Alpine 9853r HU which displays both MP3 and CD text

ive got mine to show, the cd track scrolls through the song title then stops on the first eight characters or however many it is

nero burning rom will allow you to create cds made from mp3s with cd txt, it does it automatically

i am on about the standard 2002 tuner list cd player (have alpine/renault 6 cd aswell)

i will look into Nero then! cheers

no not if its the factory stereo, it will not support cd text.
