center section

After a couple of weeks of daily use ive decided that I cant deal with the exhaust drone on the motor way. I'm running a silenced decat and a Ktec 2.5 system. I like how it sounds when youre having a hoon but 70/80mph on a run is killing me!
question is has anyone fitted a center section and noticed a good improvement? or have I just picked a dronie system?

The 2.5 will drone. My 2.25 albeit the 182 is raspy and sounds ace. No drone.

Is the centre a silenced version

No straight through center, was thinking about getting a box put in the center and seeing if that helps.

Yes hopefully, im gonna try and get it in my local exhaust place by the end of the week to get a box fitted.

Why not stick a thread up in the wanted section for a silenced centre. Well depending how much an exhaust place would charge that is.

I was thinking that but I can have done in the morning and it'll only gonna cost me £60

Ktec do a silenced centre section for the stealth but it's nearly 200 quid.

The design of them causes most of the drone. Sound is directed downwards and bounces back up off the road surface and resonates through the car.

I have the same on my track car with the centre silencer and cat still fitted and it's droney as f**k!

Had one on my phase 1, was an ass.

Had a recessed Ktec on a Monaco and that was loads better

So picked the car up from having the centre box fitted and had a to do a 40 mile drive and I'm happy to report I didn't have a headache at the end of it, the drone is still there a bit but its very minimal. So so much better, I love the car again now, the exhaust note has changed to a little raspier which sounds really nice.
