button on keys works but i have to be vertually in the car for it to work!, why!?

Try replacing the battery, could be low

Or water in sensor.. which is what I had - reduces the range by LOADS.

Where is the actual sensor for the C/locking inside the car? My range has dropped substantially since I got an extra alarm installed.

on a cup the sensor is part of the uch (main electrical control unit). it works on radio waves rather than infa red.

im havin the same problem reno r fixing it this week but i only got it done by them cuz its still under warenty

If you got a mk one its the bit in front of the sun roof.

Check batteries first then as Daz says take the reciever part off and check for water leaks!

how the hell do you get the cover off the key to get into the batterires, mine just dont seem to want to move
