Dont know how but wheel is not damaged at all, going down tyre company to get it checked out and a loan one put on as new exalto will be a few days.
It didnt make a bang like you would normally get with a blow out.
The tyre has spilt on the seam as if stiching has come undone all the way around.
Going to write to michelin and get it checked out as could be a fault.
Just lucky i controlled it ok as could of been bad.

We've got a customer at work who has a set of wheels for 18 months and bought them back saying there at fault as one blew similar to this, anyone now what courses this??

Two sets of skidmarks for the price of one eh? One on the road one in yer pants...

Saw an Aston Martin DB9 with a blownout tyre and the prick was still trying to drive it on the motorway.

Lucky to get out unhurt matey. Go buy a lottery ticket!!

what tyre pressure's do you have in your other tyres ? also have you inspected the tyre for any punctures, as if its got no pressure in it this can happen ?

Run 33 in the back and 31 in the front and check them quite often ... There was no sign of a puncture.
