1995 Renault Clio 1.8 16v
Hi all, after some thoughts/opinions.
The 172 had a small C.V boot leak, never ran out of oil or anything, I had it topped up by a local garage, and since then when cold 3rd is notchy to get into, which it never was before..!
They've used 75/80 fully synthetic when topping it up, but definitely it wasn't notchy before they did this.
Is this the wrong oil? What's a better oil to stop this?
Any opinions on Lucas oil stabiliser for use in transmissions, whether it may help the situation. Really fed up that a faultless box is now notchy immediately after putting the oil in!
