changing a 197 headlight bulb

  Clio 197
ok so the MOT is due at the end of the month and my passenger side headlight bulb has gone.

my question is, how the **** do you change it?? i spent about 15 minutes under the bonnet and messing about with the wheel arch and cant decide the best way to go about it.

thought I would let halfords have a bash and after nearly an hour or 4 lads messing about with it, they gave me a refund and said they cant do it (not really surprised tbh but for £6.99 i thought i would try them)

any idea's would be much appreciated! dont really wanna pay Renault a silly ammount to do it

Cheers in advance!

with great difficulty and bloody hands. Ideally you want hands like a 10 yr old gypsie. Remove the covers on the fuse box infront of the battery, the batter covers and the air intake, with alot of pain you can get it changed. Talkin from personal experience, whatever you do, dont let the metal clasp on the back of the bulb come off. It will drive you to suicide (Found on 197.net)

Most say take the bumper off.

Take off the air feed trumpet thingy, just 2 bolts iirc, makes it 1000x easier as I found out the other week

Nice one, tried taking off the trumpet and aside from sheering off the two bolts that keep it on it worked a treat!
was fiddeley as hell and very frustrating but only took me about 40 minutes in the end. result!

Cheers
