I do most things on my cars and bike, my 172 is due its belts and pulleys change which I've never attempted before on ant car to be honest, would I be stupid to even entertain the idea?

Id like to think i am, assuming its timed correctly now is it really just a case of using the renault tools to lock off the cams etc.

If it happened not to be timed correctly currently does that make it a harder job?

Hmm, I'm not sure it'll be worth the stress and sourcing the renault timing tools as much as I'd like to

Ive been costing it up recently as mine are due in June.

Timing tools are 145. Most guys seem to want around 300 Labour plus parts. So doing it yourself you are only really going to save 155.

I suppose if doing it yourself you can always sell the tools on afterwards, or keep them for when you buy another rs clio.
