Changing brake pads, And recommended Pads..

Hi,

I am going to change my brake pads in the next few weeks, Is there a guide on here for the front and back brake pads?

Also i have been doing a bit of research and it looks like ferodosDS2500's pads are the way to go front and back, does anyone have any other surggestions?

Cheers

ferodo ds2500s on front. OE or pattern pads on back, the back brakes do eff all on these cars.

back brakes look more tricky to change than fronts. I've not changed them myself though, I get it done at each service! if you get ferodos, you need to file a bit of it down, otherwise they squeal badly. Someone on here with more knowledge than me will tell you which part to file.

Edit: This assumes you're going to track the car. If it's just for road use, OE renault pads all round are the way to go.

OE pattern rear pads like Bendix pads are about £20 - £25. Take a look on ebay or Yozza.

Just buy the chepest pads you can for the rears and the best for the front.

Rear pads should be able to do 60k miles +

Markcup got 90k miles out of his OE rear pads on his 172 cup.
