Changing Driveshafts

Car  182, 172 Track Shed
Hi, need to change my front brakes, front shocks and both driveshafts on my PH1 172.

Fairly happy doing the brakes and shocks but not got much clue about the driveshafts.

Anyone got any guides? (I did search)

Best leaving the driveshafts to a garage?

Thanks

Joe

Easy if you're doing the shocks and brakes at the same time.

Firstly, drain gearbox oil. You need a 30mm socket for the hub nut. Easiest with an impact gun, if not, you need to hold the brakes to undo the hub nut.

Remove shocks, angle hub out, and pull driveshaft out. N/S is the wet side, and the seal's held on by 3x 13mm bolts. Drivers side will just slide out..

Haha you make it sound like a piece of p1ss!

No special tools, odd sized sockets or tricky bits that may catch me out?
