When changing the gear box oil, will a flexi funnel do to refill with new oil, or will I need a piece of hose aswell?

Am i right in saying the wing nut just screws out?

wing just screws out.

i used a funnel with a bit of hose to do it.

But im since told that you can also refill it from the breather on the top with the wing nut open and then as soon as it trickles out you know your at the right level. Seems like a less messy alternative to filling it with a funnel and pipe untill its at the level and then pissing everywhere.

The gearbox oil usually comes in those little bottles with a long spout thingy.I always manage to use just that.

Have you got a bendy pipe then (excuse pun) like the ones on flexi funnels?

When I did mine I just picked up one of the orange flexi funnels they sell in Halfords. About a fiver.
