Changing interior e.g. seating/dash boards....

  Renault Clio Campus 1.2
Hi guys,

Got a new clio campus on the way, all the seating and dashboard/plastics etc are grey. I was just wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions on if or how i could change it all to mostly black?
I have seen the spray paint for the plastics but someone has told me its shite? also i have seen a mate with seat covers in his car but they looked pretty naff aswell, or can you get some good ones??

cheers

i have Recently Spray painteed my dashboard and it looks GREAT much better then grey i will post some picture if u want

My plan is to cover it in fabric (crushed velvet and silk maybe? :approve: ) just spray mounting it onto the surfaces to keep it flush with the plastic. This way when I can come to sell it, I can either sell it modified, or if not takers, rip it back to factory grey. Also means it'll have a nicer feel... although I may need to invest in a fire extinguisher.

Do you know how difficult covering a dash is in material..
This one is covered in black nappa leather and red alacantara - totally seemless..
Its one of the most expensive mods we do..

Good luck..

True. But I've some similar projects (well, not cars) so as long as I use a fabric with enough stretch in it to cover my mistakes, it should be alright. I'm not going for a perfect one piece job either, so I'll just cover the seams with a bit of cord piping.... yes it will look like a boat.

Colour scheme... red and gold. Classy :rasp:
