Changing MBP HDD to Solid State?

  Cupra K1 & Clio 200
Hi,

Firstly I'm new to the Apple scene and I've just ordered a 13" MBP with a HDD. Does anyone know if its a straight swap for a Solid State Drive? I love the idea of them and it helps the battery life too. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes and Yes.

Wont be cheap and theres only space for one drive.

it's an easy swap - you can clone the original drive with superduper too, meaning you don't have to go through an install of the OS.

Make sure you have a T5 screwdriver for the HDD screws and you're good to go.

Ive never used one on a Mac but I was amazed at the speed difference and load times on my dell E6400 when i upgraded its drive to SSD.
