changing pads 4 pot calipers V6

Can anyone give any ideas on how to change the front pads is it just a case of knocking the securing pins out? or do you have to split the caliper?

Thanks fred, thats what I tried although the pins only seemed to just move about 20mm then stick and I didn't want to force them any further.

Can you buy new pins (pad fitting kits?) or do you just re-use the pins?

Cheers.

pins are probably slightly bent or corroded, a pin punch should get the out so you can assess their condition. Should be easy to get new pins if you need them.

You may find that when you push one piston in, the others come out more, i use an old pad and a g-clamp on each side, so you can push all 4 pistons in together :)
