When changing the front springs and undoing the top mount is it bad to spin the shock? Having trouble undoing the bolt. Can I use a rattle gun to undo it all?

Changing springs help

Don't spin the shock as it can dislodge the spring from the top cover and make compressing it more difficult.
Use an air gun/ take to garage to undo then hand tighten for the drive home.
