Changing the springs - myself

  E90 320d M Sport
Hi,

I've got some lowering springs at home which I wouldn't mind having a go at fitting myself. Basically I cba to pay £100 for a garage to fit them.

I have very limited mechanical experience but do have the tools to do the job.

Would I be able to fit them on my own?

Are they difficult to do?

Yes you will. It's easy.

The rears are seriously easy to do, you literally just undo one bolt each side to drop the shock.

The fronts will take 80% of the time, and can be a pain undoing the nuts on top on the shock (these are a known pain), but once they are undone, it's plain sailing.

Just done this at the weekend with a rear ARB and took me around 3.5 hours first time i have done it :)

Spring compressors and a battery or air ratchet make life soooooo much easier
