Changing top strut mounts?

  Focus ST170
Hey everyone, How difficult is it to change the top strut mounts when they wear out, to replace them with say the yozza v6 replacment items? just trying to get an idea??

Cheers in advance John

  Lots of Alfas
To change the mounts you have to take the strut out, while its out best to change the top bearing aswel. Removing the whole strut is fairly straight forward, you can use a lowering guide for tips.

However if you mean the very top bit you see in the engine bay, there not much point changing just that. Not sure what you mean fitting the v6 items?? Yozza sell the washers which is just a case of unding the top nut with a swan neck spanner/hex key and dropping the washer in place then do the nut back up.

as davebem for me - not too difficult at all, although can be fiddly getting the struts back on without disturbing the springs in their cups

parts are about £60 from ECP (pair of bearings, pair of rubbers)
