Chasis on New Clio...

The chasis on the New Clio is the same as the chasis on the Nissan Micra??:dapprove:

I certainly hope not, but if it is, well, really its another Micra (different body work). :S :S :S

Yep, same platform. The 197 had a micra shell on it when they were developing it to disguise what it was.

Nope different chasic its uses bits but thats like saying a Skoda is a Polo.
Much of the wiring is the same though they tried to save costs by having the cars the same size etc so looms would be compatable.

I was in Mexico at in Feb and they have loads of half clio/ half nissan cars there. I thought it was a clio with a boot but there were Nissan badges on it.

I forgot about the Nissan/ Renault tie up until I saw these things driving around.

The clios also looked like there were out of the parts bin. Phase 1 bodies and interior (i.e. arials at the front of the roof and boot lock) but with phase 2 lights and fronts....

As long as the trend of Nissan borrowing from Renault is there for the new one... shoundn't be a problem.

You lot are retarded, the Micra is a MUCH better car and has a MUCH better chassis than the outgoing Clio. I drove a 1.2 Micra as a courtesy car for my 1.2 Clio and didn't want it back it was that much better..

Just because it's a Micra don't assume it's a bad car.

Veyr true the new car is very good most people just discredit it as there no sport version to comapare with. A proper comparison should be done ie non RS Mk2 vs none RS mk3.
