Yep cheap car but it's had a lot of work.

50% of the cars value roughly 3k worth of work so it's not been a small smash, don't let anyone kid you it's been a small bump.

Also RAC check means feck all all they do it check the identification, they don't check the repair that's been done.

I'd buy it after going over it thoroughly.

  Whichever has fuel
I didn't think of that Gally.

He says he's owned the car for the last 12 months. So if he bought it off the repair company, it was written off when Trophy Values were strong! So lets say it was £7000 market value around 14 months ago, thats a repair cost of over £3500!!! Christ.

I enquired about this car when it 1st came up for sale, looks like bargain. As has been said, flog the expensive trophy parts and u have a cheap base for a track car ...

Sellers response:

Hi Dave

Yeah sure il find out and pass the details on.

The damage was to the passenger side, were it was hit in an pulling out of a junction accident. The damage resulted in a new front bumper, bonnet, wing and headlight. The wind screen was not replaced or damaged and that's how I knew the accident wasn't to bad, also the front wheels are the original and unscrached. So I was quite happy to buy the car. The repair was carried out by a Renault sport enthusiast and MOT garage owner who gladly showed me the work done including all boxes for the parts and put it on the ramps for a full inspection before I took it way. He buys his car from a local yard where these cars are taken, he had his eye on it for awhile because the storage bill of the car was a contributing factor to the car being wrote off, this was evident from the whole look of the car being quite tidy.

Some Work i did when i go it home to make sure it was in true trophy form was to replace the CAT due to the clip cracking the lip of the original CAT, i also i had the dampers professionally looked at to make sure there was no damage. I replaced the rear dampers after they were looked at, it was the only thing advised to make sure the handling was perfect.

The cars history does lack recipes due to it being a CAT D and also comes with only with one key. I have a file with all the stuff I have done to the car in my year of owner ship. The original owner owned the car until the accident, also was a Clio enthusiast and had the car serviced at Renault and took very good care of the car. I have been in contact with him after the accident and this is how i found out.

If you have any more questions or would like to arrange a viewing then we can sort something out.

Cheers
Andrew

I didnt buy it as well, i dont really need 2 trophies ;)

wouldn't be too put off by the CAT D. I reckon it's a go-er with a thorough looking at from a reasonably savvy buyer.

If I hadn't already invested so much in mine i'd be round to look at that tomorrow.

Guy seems genuine enough.
