Cheap trophy

Thats been on RS for a while. Think it started at £8k when the market was buoyant. Think the guys ordered an R26R. Definately looks pampered though!!

nice advertising for your brother ;)

it's a tough old time of year to be selling.... i'm assuming that his p/ex figure is a joke?

If I had shifted my current fleet I would be happy to pay that.

that is silly cheap, for that milage the price should be 7500, even in this climate.
around 3 months ago that car would of definatly gone for 8000-8500.

^ lol, no it wouldn't have done. The market has been fudged for a while now, not a few months. A minter went for 6.5k the other week, folk will be lucky to get 7.5k for one now.

So lucky to sell mine when I did, got 6.5k a few months ago, with more than double those miles.

I'd agree. Trophy owners have a different perception of their cars worth. At the moment, cars aren't selling easily, look at how much px values have dropped recently.

Yup, is that your trained eye or the photobucket album name?!
Didn't even look at the name! Cadwell just looks unique in most pics, easy to ID. Guessing thats the first sequence of corners after the pit exit?

August was the start of when the market was falling apart... I should know cos i just managed to sell my R27 at a cracking price before everyone refused to buy unless you were giving them away...

Trophy's might have been up at £8k but doesn't necessarily mean they were selling for that price.... the only person who managed to get good money is Steve on here and it took him months to get top price for his...

anyway, back on topic... selling a hot hatch 3.5 weeks before Xmas when all you are hearing every day is doom and gloom means you're gonna struggle... even if the economic climate was buoyant you'd still struggle to sell IMHO

bang on FunkyMunky !

Fair enough,
i know of a trophy being sold at £8000 and a few pennies with around 19 on the clock middle august, i know this as i was watching like a hawk.
i also was offered a FF 182 with 24000 on the clock for 5700 but refused as i got mine with 11000 on the clock for 6500.

Yes i did do well, very well.

But could of got £1K more if i had sold at a show:mad:

But thats why i'm carless at present waiting to see how low the prices go.

Trophy's as with all cars are worth what someone will pay, some will pay £7K others won't even pay £6K???

I think its cheap esp for a minter.

I just want to shift my williams and 172 arghhh!!!

Feck all interest though, well in the williams, the 172 isn't up just now but I'm probably getting just as much interest this way.

I feel your pain, took me ages to sell my previous cars. Have you tried Auto Trader? I sold my last car within a week of it being in the Trader, after 3 months of trying.

Yeh its going to have to go on there.

At the mo its on a few forums and PH.

£6700 and no reserve, for a 55 trophy in good condition and 18,000 miles!!!
