Well, I have a couple of spare Clio 182 seats, and decided rather than sell them, or stick them away in the loft until I needed a part or spare etc, I'd try and get a bit of use out of them 'out of the car'....

Still even has back rest adjustment and an airbag in case of emergencies!!!

I am well impressed with my 1hr jobbo - the old office chair (horrible ikea leatherette thingy) was looking pretty manky, this looks ace! :D

You need to remove the airbag.
Don't want it to deploy while you're engaging in some frantic righthand action on the 'net. ;)

hahaha - is the passenger seat (was much easier to make as doesn't have height adjustment etc) so the airbag is on the left hand side... ;)

It was actually really easy. Take off the runners, adjustment handle etc and the I drilled two holes into the bar running horizontally across the front section of the seat base.

At the back there is no support due to the salvaged ikea office chair base size, so I used a piece of wood to spread the load and connect the to ikea seat base to the rear metal section on the Clio seat base... and hey presto - stick some bolts in and the new office chair is done!

I just need to get my hands on some seat base trims as this will finish it off nicely!
