Checking MOT history online

Found this link on williamsclio and thought I'd share http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp

Seems as though it could be very useful for anyone buying a car, to be able to check the MOT history. It says what (if any) advisory notices were given and failure notices :approve:

Good info on there, the only advisories mine has had are from the last mot i did

My clio was a shed when it went for it's MOT before I bought it lol.

Was quite shocked at forgetting how much of a nail my valver was when I bought it :S

Did it show all of your MOT tests? My earliest one shown was 2005....is this because of when the MOTs went computer based?

It's probably because your car is a 2002 plate and you don't need an MOT until it's 3 years old.

Nope it's on a 2000 plate so should have had the 1st MOT done in 2003

Didn't go computerised until about 2005/06 so that would b why that was your earliest one shown.

Checked my valver and it has failed twice with previous owner lol. Needed welding and front struts lol.
