Chmod 777

say i have a folder blahblah.com/dumpbin/

i've CHMOD'd the folder to 777, the correct privialges it needs, yet i can't browse in that folder?

The website declined to show this webpage

Most likely causes:

Whats the logic behind this ^_^ is this deeper than chmod?

I could do with having a dump folder where i can just access files easy enough.

i want to basically dump a lot of test.html documents and be able to just flick back and through them?

Try 755, I know my host won't allow 777 for security reasons.

Why though ? with 777 any user could go in and change what it does.. wouldnt you get a shock if it was edited to
