Chris' 220 Trophy Project

After a 6 year break from Clio ownership iv found myself back in one ! Having had a slew of pups and just coming out of a Fiesta ST this feels very grown up (for what it can be). Purchased off Sir_Dave and has been very well looked after by previous owners. Initial impression.... its an awesome car ! Sedate when in auto and great fun in Sport with the flappy paddles. The Akrapovic exhaust sounds great, Heated leathers are really comfy, it also looks the part being a Facelift. Not many plans for it, there are some little bits that need sorting but other than them il just be enjoying it for what it is, and possibly in the future a track day or 2.

Took it for a good drive this morning then gave it its first wash.

Very Nice. The Clio 220 is the only car I have regretted selling. The Akrapovic exhaust does sound great.

200 is one of those cars I'd like to try again. I owned my 2013 for 2 years, enjoyed it but felt like I never really gelled with it.

For my birthday this year i was given a Half Day Trackday at Goodwood. :) Was a decent day with lots of really nice cars on track and great weather. Was a 105db day so was packed, usual 45-1hr wait to get out for a 15 min session.

Did the most basic of checks over the car the night before, knew the brakes would be an issue but was willing to drive around it. Managed about 2 steady laps before they would start getting to hot. The Continental Sport Contact 7 held up really well, the Akrapovic exhaust sounded glorious and the car didn't skip a beat. Its got so much more to give than I'm capable of that's for sure ! Managed to dig out my Very old GoPro Hero 4 ang got it setup to record a session.

After getting back i knew some better stopping power was needed. Found a set of Brembo's on facebook adn have had them sent off to be refurbished. The state of the brackets it came on (for a 172/182) were shocking... as was the workmanship to fit them !!!!!
