Chromed cenre console surround 2016 clio

Clio RS Sport.The chrome is peeling off the centre console surround. Has anybody removed it, without breaking it and wrapped, painted or replaced it?

Really easy to remove - dont even need tools - just grab the bottom right corner and pull it away gently.

Thanks Gus. Does the chrome surround and middle little ledge? pop out of the console once that's removed? Can I buy new ones as I've not found any. I just need the chrome plastic bits.

The chrome doesn't come off. It's hard work we give them to the painter in work. Once all the chrome is off

We've taken off the console, the what was chromed surround wouldn't separate without breaking the tangs as the are heat moulded in. We have taped around the chromed parts and used Duck tape to removed the lose bits and wire wool to clean off the stubborn bits. Its now super clean and off white. The wire wool and some wet and dry paper has given a lovely key ready to be sprayed. Should that fail, it's off to Monster Wraps to have the whole thing carbon wrapped..
