Should the orange plastic circle shine up like a halo when the lights are on?

Mine stays dull the whole time whether the lights are on or off or the cigarette lighter is in use or not.

I only use it occasionlly to charge phone.

the orange ring should only light up when the driving lights are on.

it comes on with the rest of the dash lights

it's only a tiny 1.8w filament lamp tho so 'shine' is the wrong word

Mine doesn't light up I had noticed it but didn't really know what to do, I guess maybe it needs a new lamp? Anyone changed one? Easy to do?

i am fibreglassing over mine as i am fitting some switches in there

Dont think mine works either. Used to but think it got some coke spilt on it at 1 time. It was very dull to see when it worked anyway.

Yeh should light the ring around the lighter and light the ashtray up inside a bit.
Imagine the bulbs gone, its easy peasy to change as the ashtray and the can holder thing are just clipped in and just pull straight out.
