circlip on gear box

as above the circlips have broke on my 172 were can i get them from

But 2 things. I thought that was basically the end of a gearbox if you lost the circlip? and I'm almost certain they ditched the circlip design before the end of MK1 production??

replaced mine without any issue, circlip plus the "spacer" behind it, this is locked in by the circlip.

I think most renault clips are the same i used 5 turbo ones, also check for damage around where the clips go in they sometimes break a bit of the lip where the clip sits into the box

The circlips were used on most boxes up until 2005.

Part numbers -

1 - 7700720854

2 - 7703066331 / 7700113257 / 8200295074 - these are all the same part but the number has superseeded a few times

They cost a couple of quid each

I put 3 spot welds round mine once it was in place. Sorted it!
