Citroen C2 aerial poor reception

As the title says really. I bought a stubby C2 aerial but the reception is awful, all i can get is radio 2 and even thats not great. Is this to be expected? If so are there any other short aerials that still retain a decent radio signal?

It's a genuine Fiat aerial, works just as well as stock. You can buy them for a tenner on ebay.
