Confusing Dilemma

a mate of my has recently passed his test...
he had a bump yesterday afternoon, nothing major.

He went into the back of another car just leaving a scuff on the other car.

They exchanged details..

but my mate has now misplaced all their details as he's lost his mobile... what should he do now?

Leave the country....

Wait for them to call I guess? If they don't then I guess they aren't fussed.

Technically should be his fault. Not sure if them being on the phone would change where the blame is(irrelevant of if they were or were not in this situation) afaik if you go into the back of someone it's your fault for a) not paying attention or b) driving too fast/close. Unless you can prove they reversed into you or cut you up.

Has he admitted fault?

he knows its his fault as it was a little bump.. he had all there details on his phone but now hes misplaced his mobile :S

They will only need the reg tbh, if they want to claim they will call their insurance company and give them the reg.
