Classy or show car?

  Hondata'd EP3 Type R
Im going to have quitea bit of fibreglass panels modified or custom built from scratch on the interior of my car. Pretty much every major panel will be modified, I was just wondering what I should do regarding covering them?

Do I:

a) Have EVERY single plastic panel smoothed so there is no grain, and painted and laquered to the same colour of the car (gold)

b) the more expensive less showy, but more classy, leather retrim. EVERY single interior plastic (including door pillars, door sills etc etc) trimmed in Butterscoth leather with black stitching, the same as the seats?

What do you think?

both ideas are good but I think it would look a bit sick with sooo much of the same colour...maybe just trim it all in black leather with the butterscoth stiching?

Yup they are excellent, But unsure wether to just get the front seats trimmed and everything else painted.

IF thats the case I can get seats done much cheaper than G&B.

For seats I'l ltrust Schaffino, cheaper and closer and I've saw the work.

TBH if I was going all out, Id probably choose D-Class.

Leather, I would find driving round in a fiberglassed interior cold and unwelcoming. Go classy and inviting man ;)

fact is, im looking at about £300 to paint and then about £500 to trim the front seats, or £5k to retrim whole car, both on top of the £2,500 worth of fibreglassing.

Sometimes i just think, why dont i sell it and buya Leon Cupra R ora CTR :)

cut your losses??? (i mean that in a nice way!)

whatever you spend on a car, you will never get back, sit back and ask yourself how much your car is realistically worth if you sold it next week????

and think you could be out in an LCR or CTR??

I know that. my car is worth about £2-3k. If I put the interior on and the 20's, it will be worth abour £3.5k.

If i was attempting to make money id invest in property, a car isa hobby.

ever set fire to a £20 note??

i'm at the same stage with my 1.2, do i throw £7K at an engine + respray, or put the old one back in and sell it???

no, but what I am doing to my car is essentially the same as setting fire to a £20 note, ona larger scale.

have you ever been out on the piss and spent £120?

yes, I quit my gambling and wasted all my cash on car instead, honestly was the best thing I have ever done.

oh i gamble, im on first name terms with EVERY croupier at 2 Casinos, I have just won more than I have los tso far touch wood.

I have friends who go out 3 nights a week, drinkign Champagne, snorting cocaine etc etc. They dont drive (and if they do they just have shitters)

They have fun wasting money, I have fun wasting my money, in different ways

Fair play, I've done that, Sitting in a lap dance tent at santa pod. Spent a months wage in 1 weekend, drinking Dom perrignon (sp) :p

Had nothing to show for it except a headache and a hard on.

This is the same method as i used in my car Smooved all the panels panted blue and black more black then blue i think it looks so much better much more eye catching :) but all the retrimmed leather dashs i have seen look lush just more money

I would go for this approach.. would look alot better and more decent in my opinion. Leather interior if in the right car, colour and style it will the out of this world.
