Claying nightmare!!

Just had a shot at claying my car with meguiars quik kit, I spray the mist detailer on and rub the clay over it and it just feels like im rubbing plastic over the paint! no dirt is coming off and the finish is the same as before! What is going on??

Make sure the clay is warm. rub it in yours hands untill it gets softer. Then do it again

Pretty much all answers I would have put.

But with one question. You say the paint is the same as before, what are you looking to achieve? You realise, of course, that it is design to remove microscopic dirt and tar spots, not correct swirl marks?

Is the clay bar getting dirty? If it is, then it's doing its job

I clayed my car for the first time since 03, so much dirt came of the car it was unbelievable, never seen my paint look so clean ever. The above posts are spot on.

Soak it in hot water first mate to make it soft also cut it into a few bits.

Just make sure to keep the car lubbed and the clay warm !
