Claying

Alrite everyone, just finished claying my car first time, all went well! just a quick question after you finish caying do you need to wet the car and dry it off again or do i just go straight onto polish? also ive got some of the stratch x whats the best thing to apply this with? cheers

you can wash your car again but it's not necessary tbh , straight onto the polishing .

you could use an applicator pad or microfibre cloth is adequate for the scratch x stuff .

Suppose it depends what you clayed with, if it's quick detail then i'd deffo wash the car again, doesn't need scrubbing, just get any excess off. If you just did it with soap and water (not an actual bar of soap hehe) then you could probably just hose it down

If you clayed with QD spray just go straight to the Scratch X. I tend to work Scratch X with a folded terry towel as it gets even pressure and a touch more bit so helps it break down and work better. You need to work it till it is all gone and there is nothing left to remove.

all went pretty well i think, except i used a autoglym microfibre cloth and its left all these little cotton bits stuck on the car! looks nice though cheers. i used the and then went straight to the scratch x. havent managed to get rid off the scratches off the back bumper must be to deep

Probably not done right then. supposed to wash it before. then clay it (using a lubricant such as qd spray) then either just wipe it dry or wash again.
