Cleaning a black clio

Car  Clio
I have got a 1.2 2003 black clio and i was wondering how i should wash it?

What method i should use?
What shampoo, clothes etc
What wax
Anything else i need 2 know?

I will be polishing/waxing by hand!

Hiya Rich.

Thank you for the Link's :)

Just a quick question. I've hired a professional company to come sort out a few scratches on my Renault Clio. Would you suggest to not polish/wax it until after they have done the work, I'm not sure if giving it a layer of either will cause any problems with the touch up paint / machines they will be using.

Many Thanks

They should strip of any waxes/sealants of anyway but avoid thinks like Autoglym Super Resin as they can be a painters nightmare! I would just wash it in the meantime if they are coming soon.

just make sure you shammy the car after to dry it as the water will dry -n the paint work and look dirty still

Ben

make sure its not a leather one coz i recon the cheaper ones are alot better

I would think twice about using a Chamois - Fake or real on Black Renault Paint, it marrs easily enough even with soft microfiber towels. Filtered water and no drying at all works better - streak free and no swirls.
