Cleaning aftermarket filters/re oiling

i have a ITG filter which i have aquired and fully cleaned, but it now needs re-oiling.

I have from a few years ago i re-oiling kit for a K&N 57i kit i used to have, will the oil for the K&N be ok on the ITG, bearing in mind the ITG is a foam filter and the K&N isn't?

The itg oil is much thicker than the K&N counterpart I have found although it will probably be fine.

Also cleaning ITG filters are a nightmare use petrol rather than a water based degreaser

fairy washing up, good thorough clean, dry for a day, apply retention spray all over and work in well with your hands.

This spray is ideal for the ITG kit.

I havent oiled my piperX ITB filter yet,

I refuse to buy the stuff lol. Meh

^Isnt the oil what actually catches the dirt, The sponge is there just to hold it?

Ive heard clean it with whatever but always try to use the correct oil.

The ITG oil doesnt come out with good ole fairy liquid, its bad stuff!!
