Cleaning alcantara

  Megane r26
Basically this morning I scraped me window on the trophy an when finished through the scraped in the car an it landed on the seat. It had some frost left on it but I didn't notice, now its marked the seat! What can I use to clean it? Cheers Dan.

never used it, but raceglaze alcantara cleaner seems highly rated for this job.

available from polishedbliss for £10 with free delivery

polished bliss sell cleaner and conditioners from both raceglaze and autofinesse that would be worth considering

I have used the Raceglaze stuff on my trophy seats and it works a treat.

I've also used raceglaze with a swissvax brush, In all honesty didn't notice much difference.

Speaking to Phil at Shinearama, he says there most, if not all, alcantara cleaners won't do a lot.

I ideally wanted something to bring the life back into the seats as there are a couple of 'flat' spots in the alcantara.

I'm going to give it ago, the seats are very good condition no flat spots or real wear just this pesky mark! Why was I so stupid haha

Mine really need a good going over, struggling to find anything that truly works

Well I've got rid of the stain, it was really doing me head in looking at it an as I was on me way home I passed old halfrauds so popped in an grabbed some auto glym interior shampoo cleaner stuff which seems to have done the job

Yeah I shaved mine when they got bobbly. I'm talking about my seats not my b****cks btw.

Lol!

thing is with alcantara, it's delicate. Sure you can buy a generic interior shampoo and scrub the dirt out and it will work but it may/will f**k the material. Raceglaze is very mild. It's for maintenance not for minging skank seats. It's a toughy to deal with for sure. Multiple hits of raceglaze is safer than using a strong cleaner.
