Cleaning mould?

Any ideas on how to clean mould of the roof lining?

Would soaking it in bleach or something help?

Also, after cleaning it the sunroof still leaks slightly, would it help if I put gel beads in the roof lining to absorb any moisture. This is if it starts to rain when the car isn't under the cover.

Any ideas on how much it would cost for Renault to replace it all?

Renault? A small fortune.

Get yourself a second hand headlining off here, if yours has gone mouldy, it's pretty much time for a new one, the sunroof can probably be fixed by taking it all out and refitting with a bit of silicone etc.

Yeah I have got a post in the wanted section for one.

Will a PH1 roof lining fit? My PH1 has the hole for the sunroof and it is in fine condition, could I swap them over?

Is it much work getting sunroof out? don't want to get halfway through and realise I can't get it back into place :rasp:

abit of apc and scrub. Mould got there because yiour car is damp, id isolate that too.

Not hard to take out at all once you've got the rooflining off.

The sunroof itself (the glass) just comes off (well it did on my ph1 pop up one) I don't know what style your ph2 one is.

Yes the roof linings will be interchangeable, but it may be necessary to cut a hole in the ph1 one, were the celing mounted ph2 seatbelt is, (if it has one) as the ph1's don't have these (well earlier ones didn't)

You could go with APC like pedro suggests, but I'd take it out the car to do, and try to sort out the leaking sunroof whilst you do it, it may be a simple case of blocked drain points.

Thanks for that, yeah it's from the sunroof leaking and it being unknown for the first few weeks of it leaking so it managed to soak in.

Ive picked up some damp traps from work, could I rip them open and pour the beads into the roof lining and put it back on with the beads above it, might make a slight rattle but it would save me from having damp there again as they would absorb it all.
