What is everyones?
When you really treat your car what do you do?
Im new to all this stuff, I thought autoglym was the only polish till the other day
I washed my car with AG bodywork shampoo, clay'ed with meguires, washed again, both with the two bucket wash, polished with AG ultra deep shine then finished with AG EGP.
Is that good, am i missing out something, is there a better polish a better wax or anything...!
im just curious what everyone else does...!

Have a look at cleanyourcar.co.uk and have a browse around the site. Your eyes will soon open, lol. Its all about budget mate. If you wanted a wax for over 5 grand a pot, there is one suited for you also!!!

SRP and EGP is good to get started with, its what I used to begin with. Will give you the idea of how some products work and what they do (EGP being a sealant, sheeting/beading water etc). once youve got your wash technique sorted and you have good shampoo, drying and washing gear then move it up a notch.


Theres much better out there.

But dont self indulge.

A good version of SRP and EGP to me has to be Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (See Polished Bliss website) and then....here comes the can of worms....Whatever you want. (See Cleanyourcar) something cheap and durable like FK1000p which is a hybrid wax/sealant.

Id try FK1000p, that way youve got a product for your wheels and door shuts when you decide to move up even further. And to begin with a decent ish product which doesnt look tooo bad and wont break the bank. Definately a good step up from EGP!

Tons of great products out there. I use different ones all the time.

Used the two bucket wash and really noticed that difference. Would love to Polish it more often but heard its only needed 3-4 times a year with AG products. Has anyone used the sealant after a polish? Does it hold the 'finish' for long?

They call Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection a sealant i believe, and if so yeah thats what ive been using!! its so easy to use too, but it had to be left for 2 hours before removing! But when it rains mine car all beaded looks teh best in teh carpark

30 Mins Minimum for EGP.

Polish wont do s**t, just fills swirls (A little) and reduces marring. Might add a bit of gloss. EGP just protects that finish. For about 5 mins. No point in polishing without protecting.

Nothing to stop you re applying EGP every month if you wanted.

Dodo products are ok. I swear by Born To Be mild Shampoo and wont use anything else now, ive used allsorts.
I dont rate their waxes, atall. The new "Pro" waxes have an added sealant though and from the sample pot the owner gave me to try out Its actually not bad.
Supernatural isnt that durable.
The regular range isnt that durable, although people on here disagree with me and say itll last 3-4 months.
