Cleaning Under the Arches

  LY V6 with Recaros
What's the best products to use to clean under my wheel arches with? I'm painting my calipers over the weekend, so while I'm doing that, I'm going to take off all my wheels and give them a thorough clean, plus do the arches, as they have never been done!

They look quite bad, I don't have a pressure washer to use, so what will be the best way to get all the crap off?

Pressure washer, or elbow grease sweetheart, dont try too hard, if you actually drive it, it'll be covered in cow poop by next week.

get Autoglym engine and machine cleaner, spray lots of it on and brush in hard, leave for 10 mins and rinse off.

Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or Meguiars APC and a good scrub with soapy water.

Dress the plastics with some Bumper Care, polish the paintwork while you there etc lol ;)

It is, if I come round and actually use some elbow grease and fairy liquid, after all its the bit of the car where the dirty stuff off the tyre goes, and unless you dont drive it in the rain like young Richard, theres no point going to all that geeky trouble, Once I've administered 5 minutes of hard work, I can take you out for a nice meal, some drinks and then engage in a bit of man woman fencing in the bedroom, all in the time it takes Rich to spray his fancy cleaner on, and wait for the exact perscribed period before removing the various types of dog poo and road crud with a toothbrush.

I wouldn't normally bother, but as I said in the first post, my wheels are coming off anyway, so it's not going to hurt to give it a clean! :p

yep, just some AG E&M cleaner, a good brush with soapy water, and an old drying towell do the trick nicely. Followed by a dressing of the plastics as rich says. Took me about 20 minutes per arch.
