Clear Side Repeaters ? Spacers? mk1

I managed to get some clear side repeaters.
Now they do fit my mk1 phase 3 clio, but i have ran into some troubles.

The black surrounds which are around my original repeaters, is all one part.

Now i was told to take the surround off, but i cant see anywhere for it to come off.

Anyone got any ideas on what i can do? I do not want to have flush repeaters as the black trim looks neater than just body work.

Any ideas would help.

Thanks,

Is the black surround the bit with 1.2 or 1.4 written on it? If so it doesnt come off I think just use a flat headed screwdriver to prise the orange repeater off and put the new one on :)

the black bit does come off but it is clipped and glued under the 1.2/1.4 bit

other than that i pushed the indicator out from the inside as the arch liner was already out

My clio is different, my repeaters are well clear of the 1.2 badges, they are on the bump strips. My indicator is attached to the body with black trim around it.

Looks like i need some black spacers for the clear side repeaters.

Anyone got any?
