Clicking noise from engine

Getting a clicking noise from the engine, now its got worse car sounds like a diesel. iv herd it b4 on other cars, they all tend to be really old. My old man thinks its my cams hitt the valves, and it needs ajustment. Anyone got any idears? i can get a video of it if need be?

ive had aphew clio 1.2 8vs were the tappets have worked them selves loose could be that and have u checked your oil ?

check your oil level make sure you have the correct viscosity and use a decent synthetic oil aswell you can also try some hydraulic valve lifter treatment
